"Helping Million Users !"
The Problem
The Goal
Millions of people who are physically challenged couldn’t do their daily work with that ease. People with busy working schedules also need some help to do the necessary work.
Designing a mobile app/website that allows users to bring shops to their doorstep. Whether it is shopping for groceries, fruits & vegetables, etc. Want to pick or drop from one address to another. Walking your pet, watering your plants will become much easier.
"It will also create employment opportunities for technicians, house cleaners, pet walkers, and delivery people."

Process

Research
At the start of my project, I try to come up with the research questions that can guide my design process. Here are some questions I wanted to get answers to get at the end of the project.
I have identified through our survey that -

-
30% of the users are housewives.

-
The complicated process of using “ DonEasy” made it difficult for users to understand and can even frustrate him/her and may lead them to use other platforms like Dunzo, Swiggy Geni , etc.

-
Redundant and repetitive screens make the flow of both the categories a bit lengthy and complicated.

Problem Statement
After conducting a survey, I have identified that both the cases are pick & drop services at the core, the differentiating idea between the two of these cases are as follows :

-
Pick & Drop service charges only Delivery cost & no other amount gets charged while on the other hand, Buy from any store option charges some extra amount other than the delivery charges.

-
Pick & drop feature is for a single item while on the other hand, Buy from any store needs a proper list as it majorly consists of household items.
Brainstorming
“How might we?”

After defining the problem statement and doing the competitive analysis, I have asked
Information Architecture
After discovering all the insights and collecting the pain points from the user research and user interview, we brainstormed to a conclusion to optimise the current user flow of the “DonEasy”! I then focused on reducing the number of screens by combining the two categories provided by the “DonEasy” into one which, altogether makes the process easier and lets the user complete the task in just a few steps.

Personas
Paper Wireframes
After getting some insights from surveys, problem statement, I have started with the initial sketching where we have got some more insights into how we can change the look and feel of the application making it simple for the user to understand.

Digital wireframe
As the initial phase continued, I made sure the base screen is designed on feedback and findings from user research.

User Testing
I conducted user testing before moving forward with the Hifi prototype and I found out there were certain problems users were facing in the design process.
A/B Testing

UI A

UI B
I conducted A/B Testing before finalizing UI and most of the participants found UI B simple and interesting.
Challenge 1

Some users wanted to shop from a particular item only.

- So, I added both the options store and items separately.
Challenge 2

Users were not confirmed after the payment method, there was no confirmation page.
-So, I added a confirmation page saying Thank you.
Challenge 3

It was confusing among various services users were not able to find all the services.
-So, I created different sections of services but all at one place to make it easier.
After fixing all the problems I conducted one more round of testing.

Takeaway
If I had more time , I’d like to conduct one more round of user testing. There will be something to improve.
While designing the DonEasy, I learned to be more empathetic toward people. I got to experiment with some new features of the design system and broaden my knowledge of the design process. Although I have to explore more it’s not to say I won’t try to incorporate them in future projects.
